Hello!  I'm behind on my blogging but here a few pictures of my outfit for the day in Milan.  I wanted to make sure that in packing for this trip, I stayed true to my own personal style while keeping my clothing fun and romantic to set the tone for the trip.

The reason that I started blogging was to promote African Fashion, because I couldn't believe that with so much talent, African designers sometimes find it difficult to gain exposure in international markets.  I also wanted to shed light on the many amazing products that people of color produce and to encourage more people to buy, wear and support them.  So for those that may be visiting my blog for the first time, you will find that although I love brands from all over the world, I'm always wearing a black brand or something made by a person of color because I think its a great way to show support and to be purposeful with my style.

I started the day in Italy in this dress that my Aunt Lucy brought for me from Sierra Leone, a statement purse that speaks to my character (big mouth :) and some heels.  As the walking went on and on I changed into a funky pair of Converse All Stars.

Me and my big mouth ;) received lots of compliments that day and I felt ready to tackle Italy even after only sleeping on the flight.  What do you think of the outfit?  And what do you think of making a greater effort to support designers of color in general?  Thanks for visiting.
