September is special for many reasons as it kicks off what fashion industry people and enthusiasts call "fashion month," which begins notably with New York Fashion Week here in the US. Between NYFW and international star appearances at the Toronto Internal Film Festival (TIFF), posh people from the world over have given us good reason to be excited about what the rest of the month has in store. Take a look:
South African media maven Bonang Matheba hit the streets in two fabulous looks for NYFW.
Tamu McPherson host Lisa Folawiyo's SS17 presentation.
Toke Makinwa came out for the show
Karrueche Tran took bedroom chic to new levels this week.
Lala Anthony and Ciara Wilson celebrated with Serena Williams after the close of her runway show for HSN.
Stylist Kanayo Ebi gave punk glam on her way to the Fashion Bomb Daily ten year anniversary party.
Loved this laid back fab denim look from stylist Ashley Dunn.
Across the border in Toronto, stars got red carpet ready for the Toronto International Film Festival:
Lupita Nyongo did things differently for her red carpet look, in a Carolina Herrera dress and headtie.
Rita Dominic was fabulous per usual in custom Lisa Folawiyo Studio.
Zainab Balogun also showed up at TIFF to promote her new film, The Wedding Party Movie (which I can't wait to see). She kept it simple and chic in an Imad Eduso two piece.
Last but never least, Genevieve Nnjai was authentic yet edgy in Maki Oh & Christian Louboutin Sandals.
