Guys! I don’t know about you but the election results are finally in and I’m in a great mood. Because of COVID I don’t feel truly free to celebrate with family and friends but there’s nothing stopping me from pulling up to the living room in my best outfit and taking a few flicks, right? Lol.
Aside from removing Donald Trump from power, we elected the first black and south Asian Vice President, Kamala Harris. You may already know, but Kamala’s mom was from India and her dad is Jamaican so she is a first generation American born to immigrant parents, and also a lawyer like myself. I am so excited that my young girls will get to regularly observe a woman as second in command of the USA and I wish VP-elect Harris the very best in her new role. Just bear with the Jamaicans in your lives because you won’t be able to tell them anything for a while lol. I don’t blame them, representation matters which is why I’m always on the hunt for amazing new designs from black brands around the globe.
This dress is by a Lagos based brand, For Style Sake and is available for purchase at my virtual posh up, here. And I see that y’all have been hanging out and attending events despite COVID so you might as well grab this number for your holiday events. This “Yara” corset belt is by Ghanaian Luxury Label, Christie Brown, sold out but similar here. My shoes are by Charlotte Olympia, they are old but you can shop similar styles on sale from past seasons at Farfetch. Thanks so much for reading and I wish you all a fabulous week ahead.
Love,
Munje 💙
